Night all around

Night on top of the trees and
under the clouds and night
inside my soul whenever
I look around and it’s dark.

Trees already filled with
green glory of the new
leaves and no sound to be
heard.

Night in my heart and soul
night all around up and down
night in the black old space
of the universe.

The door is not easy
to open as if thousands
of years have passed and
rust had eaten the key.

But I still managed to
get in with night all
about me.

  1. Suggestiva. Ermetica, come quella porta chiusa.
    A me, più che il buio fa paura la luce abbagliante di mille riflettori che mi puntano e ugualmente cercano di impedirmi di vedere

    ha ragione, anche a me, a volte, fa paura troppa luce che può essere anche più spaventosa del buio. Come quella delle tante luci in città che spesso accecano più che illuminare.

  2. La notte come metafora di uno stato d’animo. Ma l’importante essere riusciti ad aprire quella porta, anche se, per accedere dove (la conoscenza? La speranza? La felicità? Dio?…), non è dato sapere,

    la poesia non è un racconto dettagliato di un fatto o uno stato d’animo ma un insieme di sensazioni. Poi ognuno le interpreta a modo suo.
