 Pop corn corn popped
splash lash mash bush
there you were where
I was aware.
Too keen mind you
no hands hands off
try hard most time
time passed all right.
Alive lively and gay
jumping strolling
rolling all day.
That was your you
could be me too
at night she comes
sits on armchair,
from there
at me she stares.

White you dark you
bless you nice soul
nice one like no-one
to me the best for
ever rest.
Whenever you come
to my mind can’t help
remember with a sigh
that long and awful
darkest night.
But above all remain
the signs you left behind
in all the hearts that knew
your smile.

  1. Molto bella questa poesia in parte onomatopeica e carica di sentimento espresso con rara immediatezza.
    È un bel tentativo di unire sentimento e visione plastica della cagnolina che sembra quasi rivivere nei suoni, nei ritmi e nelle assonanze dei versi.
    Come in:
    splash lash mash bush
    oppure:
    Alive lively and gay
    jumping strolling
    rolling all day.
    E in altre parti.
    Brava è una di quelle poesie che sarebbe arduo tradurre, se non impossibile, perché la parola(in questo caso inglese) è componente musicale del significato.
